All Things Apple (SFHB 150)
Facilitated by Matt Gromer
Do you have Apple devices in your environment? Do you want to manage your iMacs, cut down on support time, or just get a feel for what’s ahead? Join us for a discussion on the rapidly-changing intersection of enterprise and Apple.
IT Show and Tell - Automation and Bots (SFHB 148)
Facilitated by Nathan Stien
Recap: A group of 15 discussed bots, an automated interactive agent to integrate with various systems from having fun (make jokes and play jeopardy) to making your job easier. Calling a bot is easy with just a few keystrokes.
Discussion first went to preformatted bots you can automatically add like Polly that creates a poll and Trello that gives out tasks. Then we went into how we could create apps and how much easier it is now than ever before. Teams actually has an app that shows you how to create a bot and much of it is drag and drop with a combination of some programming.
A few bots already created are YouTrack updates and GitLab pushes. The Web department is also using Howdy for employee satisfaction and stress level to improve employee morale. In the works are updating Cherwell ticket notes and resolutions through a bot without touching the Cherwell client.
In future, it would be awesome to have a bot for knowledge queries across campus including IT, admissions, and financial aid. Also ways to update change requests and to get a feed of what's going on in Cherwell, as well as integrations with PeopleSoft. Regardless, bots are really changing the way we communicate and improving collaboration.

IT Show and Tell - Everything Else (SFHB 133)
Facilitated by Bill Hamann
While we would all love to automate all the things, that’s never going to happen. There are many times when you have complex tasks that require your smarts, experience, tools, and the techniques you’ve gained to fix what’s broke or give what’s being asked.
Please come to show and tell something you’ve done in the past that you’re especially proud of, and to see and hear what others are sharing. Everyone showing and telling will get 5 minutes to show and a few minutes to answer a few questions. At the end of the show and tells, we’ll open the floor for a discussion and impromptu demos that are sure to come up. The goal is for you to walk away with some tools and ideas tips that will make your job just a little more pleasurable.
Expand Your ISU Knowledge - Services Offered to Students (SFHB 132)
Facilitated by Dean Plumadore and Katy Killian
It seems to be a mystery to students and staff all the things that ISU offers to students. The facilitator will bring some colleagues and information on those services from the Student Affairs Division. What else is there? Do students have access to color printing? 3D printing? Of course they do, but do you know where? What else can we identify? We’re looking for that list of “did you know……”.
CITx Informal Lunch (12 pm - 1 pm, Bone Student Center Prairie Room)
