CIT Extension (CITx)

CITx is a half-day extension event connected to the Continuous Improvement in Technology (CIT) conference held in the Fall and Spring semesters. The goal of CITx is to empower Illinois State's IT professionals by providing them the latest IT news from around campus, opportunities for social networking with their colleagues, and collaborative brainstorming on current topics.

The Fall 2019 CITx event was held the morning of Friday, December 6, 2019, in the State Farm Hall of Business.

Networking Breakfast (8:30 am - 9 am, Atrium)

Catch up with colleagues over breakfast, including fruit, pastries, coffee, water and OJ.

XR @ ISU: The Reality of Expanded Reality

Dr. Roy Magnuson, School of Music, has spent the past two years developing solsticeVR, a custom audio composition program for virtual reality. Roy will share insights learned through this process, specifically speaking to the future of XR as an institutional initiative at Illinois State University. The presentation will also include demonstrations of consumer and professional grade VR headsets such as the Oculus Go, Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift-S, Valve Index, and the XTAL HMD by Vrgineers.
